Brian Russell is the founder of Grayton Energy, LLC in Norman, Oklahoma. Prior to Grayton Energy, he worked as a landman at SandRidge Energy and TipTop Energy Production US, LLC. During his tenure as a landman, Russell worked in seven different basins with a footprint spanning more than 500,000 net mineral acres. Today, Russell currently works closely with mineral owners, investors, and other oil and gas companies across the country acquiring mineral rights with a primary focus in Oklahoma’s Anadarko Basin. Grayton Energy started as an oil and gas investment brokerage but has evolved into a portfolio of long-term investments in mineral rights, overriding royalty interest, and non-operating working interest. Russell earned his undergraduate degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations from the University of Oklahoma and has a master’s degree in Energy Legal Studies from Oklahoma City University. He currently lives in Norman, Oklahoma with his wife, Melinda, and two children, Emelyn and Graham. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, traveling, working out, and watching his kids sporting events.
